AR Engages With Naga, Kuki CSOs to Prevent Spillover of Litan Situation into Senapati, Kangpokpi

UKHRUL: In view of the simmering situation in Litan and Ukhrul and to prevent spillover into Senapati and Kangpokpi districts, Assam Rifles on Tuesday held meetings with Naga and Kuki CSOs at Senapati. 

As per the Assam Rifles, the discussions with NPO focused on tensions, movement of displaced persons, need to prevent escalation and misinformation, peaceful coexistence and mutual resolution of pending issues. NPO also reaffirmed its commitment to peace.

At Kangpokpi, the Assam Rifles urged restraint in the meeting with CoTU, Kuki Inpi and KSO and discussed to guard against rumours.

Assam Rifles remains committed to maintaining peace and harmony among all communities in Manipur, it stated.
