NEW DELHI (SHABD): The Asian Games 2026 officially begin in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, today, with India aiming for a record-breaking performance. The 20th edition of the Asian Games will see athletes from over 45 countries and regions compete across 43 sports.
India will be represented by over 500 athletes. The squad includes 267 male and 232 female athletes across 36 sports disciplines.

At the previous Hangzhou Asiad, India had an impressive tally of 106 medals and was placed fourth behind China, Japan and South Korea.
