CHANDEL, SEP 18: St Paul’s Parish, Liwachangning, on Friday organised a one-day workshop on marriage under the theme, “Marriage Matters: Questions, Answers and Conversations”, at the Parish Centre.
The programme brought together more than 60 delegates from 15 villages under the parish, along with priests and nuns, for a day of reflection, learning and meaningful conversation on Christian marriage and family life.
The programme began with an opening prayer, followed by a welcome address and introduction by Rev. Fr Benjamin Kodai Kaje, parish priest of St Paul’s Parish. In his introductory remarks, he highlighted the importance of creating a space where couples, families and young people could openly discuss the realities, challenges and responsibilities associated with marriage.

The workshop was conducted by Rev. Fr Dr Paul Ngaoni, judicial vicar and chancellor of the Archdiocese of Imphal, who served as the resource person for the day.
Through his inputs, he addressed various aspects of marriage and family life, encouraging participants to view marriage not merely as a social institution but also as a vocation that calls for commitment, mutual understanding, fidelity, communication and responsible love.
A significant part of the programme was devoted to an extended question-and-answer session. Participants actively engaged with the resource person, raising questions and sharing concerns arising from their own experiences and the realities faced by families in today’s society.
The open conversation provided an opportunity for delegates to seek clarification on matters related to married life, relationships, communication, responsibilities, and the challenges faced by couples and families.
