Assam Rifles Conducts Pre-Recruitment Training for Ukhrul and Kamjong Youth

Ukhrul: The Assam Rifles said it is organizing a series of Pre-Recruitment Training capsules for Agniveer and CAPF recruitment, aimed at empowering local youths from Ukhrul and Kamjong Districts in Manipur.

Held at Shangshak village, AR said the training sessions began in May 2024, with 15 aspirants participating in Phase I. Phase II, conducted in July 2024, saw the participation of 25 more individuals. The ongoing Phase III, which commenced on August 6, 2024, has 18 participants.

The training provides free study materials, accommodation, and meals, with a focus on academic and physical preparation.

Participants, such as 17-year-old Tharmi Kasar from Shokvao village and George Raingam from Lamlai Khunou, have expressed gratitude for the opportunity, highlighting the initiative’s potential to help them secure employment and uplift their families, said Assam Rifles.

So far, 22 local youths who participated in the training have registered for competitive exams in Central Armed Police Forces and the Indian Armed Forces. The local community, particularly the youth from the Tangkhul region, have praised Assam Rifles for this meaningful initiative aimed at uplifting society.
