Imphal, Dec 29: The Chhabi Sahayog Foundation, Manipur Prant, in collaboration with Dev Desh Pratisthan, Mumbai and Saidham Cancer Hospital, Shirdi successfully conducted its third workshop, as part of its cancer awareness workshop series on Sunday at Star Kids Center, Top Siphai, Imphal West, Manipur.
The workshop was led by Dr Th. Kamala Devi, Head of the Women’s Wing, Chhabi Sahayog Foundation, Manipur Prant, who is also a cancer warrior. She was supported by Dr N Premi Devi and Longjam Rebita who actively engaged in creating awareness about cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment.

The workshop was also honoured by the presence of Tekcham Tekchamba, secretary of Top Siphai Club as president, Yumnam Shyamkanta, founder of Star Kids Centre, as chief guest and Sapam Radhe, member of Meira Paibi, and W Sanjoy, member of CSF, Manipur Prant as guests of honour.
“Let’s commit to understanding our family health histories, advocating for genetic testing where needed, and supporting each other in the journey of awareness. Together, we can transform fear into fearlessness,” Dr Premi said at the event. She enhanced the session through her speech on genetic cancer awareness and focused on understanding how inherited genetic mutations contribute to the development of certain cancers.

The event was organized with the aim of empowering communities through knowledge and encouraging regular cancer screenings for early detection.
The initiative aligns with the tagline “We Provide Fearlessness”, highlighting the commitment to instilling hope and courage in the fight against cancer. The workshop saw enthusiastic participation from the local community. The workshop witnessed more than 40 women and 12 men who got valuable knowledge about early detection and prevention.

The organizers extended their gratitude to all participants, collaborators, and volunteers, especially Longjam Rebita for their invaluable contributions to making the event a success.
