Senapati: BJP 48-Mao Mandal was formed and installed at BJP Office, senapati in the presence of Thaikho Peter, President, BJP, Senapati district and S. Alexander Maikho, former BJP candidate of 48-Mao AC.
It may be noted that the BJP, 48-Mao mandal was not functional in the past reportedly due to clash of interests. The installation of the 48-Mao mandal included with the former NPF supporters who had resigned en masse due to breach of party leadership within the party on June 21 last.
In a simple function held in the office of district BJP, Thaikho Peter, President, BJP, Senapati district stated that different developmental programs have already been implemented in the past by the district BJP workers including mass tree plantation at various places. The district President also urged all the intending candidates from the party and the party workers to strictly follow the directives given from the party with the approaching of ADC elections in the hill districts.
S. Alexander Maikho, former BJP candidate of 48-Mao AC urged the newly appointed party workers to work together for betterment of the party and dedicate oneself by joining hands together as one family.
The 27 members executive of the 48-Mao mandal will be led by Zevikho Rosii as the President, 3 Vice Presidents including L. Athikho, Hepuni Kaisii and Mathibo Hriiziio, 2 General Secretaries including K.D. Silas and N. Salew Mao.
Addressing media persons, district BJP President, Thaikho Peter stated that the installation of the 48-Mao mandal was done as consented by A. Sarda Devi, State BJP President. The new executives reportedly consisted of the former NPF supporters who had resigned en masse earlier in June and had made a strong team led by Zevikho Rosii and hopes that the party will be strong under his leadership. As part of the commemoration of the Sewa Pakhwada, the newly installed executives also organised cleanliness drive at “I love Senapati,” Old DC office, Senapati as humanity service.
On the other hand, BJP, Senapati district observed Sewa Pakhwada by joining the country wide cleanliness drive under the motto, “A fortnight for service” from September 17- October 2. The cleanliness drive was carried out in and around the district headquarters, Senapati led by the district President, Thaikho Peter. District executives together with morcha executives of the 3 mandals of the district took part in the cleanliness drive.
