As per the press release, the BJP Phungyar Mandal warmly welcomed the decision of the BJP Parliamentary Board to support the official nominee of the NPF in the II Outer Manipur Parliamentary elections. This alliance, despite being from opposing political spectrums, is seen as a positive step towards achieving common goals for the region.

The BJP, being a dominant political player in the NDA dispensation both at the centre and in the state, has recognized the regional political, economical, and social aspirations. Consequently, they have endorsed the candidature of Kachui Timothy Zimik for the II Outer Manipur seat, directing its state unit to extend all possible assistance and collaborate with regional political parties like the ruling NNDP in Nagaland and the ruling NPP in Meghalaya to ensure a smooth election for the NDA candidate, NPF added.
