SENAPATI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Senapati district, in collaboration with the district administration, Senapati, launched the month-long “Seva Sankalp Abhiyan” on Thursday to mark the completion of 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public life and service.
September 17 marks Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 76th birthday, while October marks the completion of 25 years of his public service.
Addressing the gathering, deputy commissioner Senapati Dharun Kumar S said the Prime Minister had been serving the nation and its people for the past 25 years with commitment and dedication, with the objective of contributing to the country’s progress and improving people’s lives.

He urged district-level officers to reach out to the public, particularly vulnerable communities, and ensure that government schemes and facilities reach their intended beneficiaries during the month-long campaign.
Panii Ngaoni, SDC and district nodal officer for the observance of Seva Sankalp Utsav, who chaired the programme, said various activities would be organised during the campaign, including essay and painting competitions, blood donation drives, and visits to Anganwadi Centres, primary health centres (PHCs) and ASHA workers.
She said outstanding Anganwadi workers would be recognised and awarded, while the Forest Department would organise tree plantation programmes. Programmes would also be held in schools and colleges, along with saturation drives by the respective sub-divisional officers (SDOs) within their jurisdictions.

Thaikho Peter, president, BJP Senapati district, recalled the party’s guiding principle, “Nation first, party second and self last,” and highlighted the contributions and public service of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his 25 years in public life.
On the occasion, Adahrii Maheo, ADC/CEO, ADC, led the participants in taking a pledge to serve the nation and promote public participation towards the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
The programme also featured cake cutting and the lighting of candles.
Following the formal launch of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, BJP Senapati district workers, along with some government officials, visited Katomei Upper Primary School, where a painting competition was being held.
Later, BJP workers participated in a blood donation drive at District Hospital Senapati.
