Blessing cum declaration ceremony of Mathiupuang Gonmei, intending BJP candidate 54-Nungba (ST) A/C held

The blessing cum declaration ceremony of Mathiupuang Gonmei, an intending Bharatya Janata Party candidate in the 54-Nungba (ST) A/C in the upcoming general election was held Ramgailong village, Langol, Imphal on Wednesday.

The formal reception programme was graced by N Nimbus, vice president, BJP Manipur Pradesh as the chief guest and the blessing prayer was led by Revd Akam Kamei with a word of exhortation.

Mathiupuang’s formal reception to the BJP party fold was accorded with the handing over of party flag along with BJP cap and muffler handed over by N Nimbus.

Speaking at the occassion, BJP Manipur Pradesh vice president N Nimbus praised Mathiupuang Gonmei as a true social worker who has nationalism spirit aligned with Gandhi’s thought. He entered politics with a spirit of value based politics and with selfless sacrifice. He also thanked Mathiupuang for his humbleness and sincerity.

Illustrating BJP’s main agenda as a worker’s party with a difference from other political parties, N Nimbus told that BJP is not a Delhi based party and it is not a dynasty party. It works for the whole society no matter their religion, caste or region.

N Nimbus also took a jibe on the present local MLA of Nungba for his negligence over people’s grievances. He appealed the gathering to vote for BJP in the forthcoming election and send a representative to the state assembly who can work for the people with sincerity and dedication.

The program was attended amongst others by Bashant, BJP State executive member, M Deben Singh, Incharge of Political Feedback, Premeshwori Devi, general secretary, Mahila Morcha, Amapui Maringmei, secretary, Mahila Morcha & Incharge Tamenglong Distrtict and other BJP workers of Nungba Kendra.
