Chandel: Liwachangning Baptist Church, MNBCA, celebrated 100 years of Christianity under the theme “Honoring His Faithfulness” on Saturday at Liwachangning Baptist Church Chandel district.
Rev. K. Losii Mao, General Secretary, Manipur Baptist Church (MBC) attended the centenary celebration as the speaker. Many hundreds of people including leaders, dignitaries, officials, women and children from Monsang and neighbouring Naga tribes and well-wishers from other communities also attended the programme.

The historic celebration kicked off early in the morning with opening prayer by Ng. Isaac and followed on by the unveiling of the Centenial Monument by Rev. K. Losii, Executive Secretary, Manipur Baptist Convention.
The official morning worship service started around 10 am with the Anal Naga Baptist Association (ANBA) on the choir seat. Ng. Gilbert, Chairman Planning Committee and Ng. Roland, Chief Liwachangning Village gave their welcome note warmly and speech diligently. The souvenir to mark the celebration was released by Rev. Alani Shongsir, Executive Secy, MNBCA. The generosity of the Liwachangning Baptist Church was clearly visible during the gift and presentation session hosted by Sh. Angningjoy, Secretary of the Organizing Committee whereby dignitaries, donors, special guests and invitees were bestowed with beautiful6 crafted centenary mementos and souvenirs.

Rev. K. Losii Mao gave an exegesis on the theme ” Honoring His Faithfulness” (Psalms 119:90) and appreciated the LIwachangning Baptist Church for their perseverence, generosity and steadfastness in the Lord. To come 100 years thus far in the Lord is not an easy journey. And congratulated Liwachangning to be an example to others.
The main highlights of the celebration were special songs presentation by Monsang Baptist churches namely Japhou Baptist Church, Liwachangning Baptist Church, Liwa Sarei Baptist Church and Heibunglok Baptist Church including special items presented by Liwachangning BYF, SSCC & BWF.
The programme moderated by Ts. Nelly, Academic Dean, AASG, and opening prayer pronounced by K. Bosom, Pastor, MBFI concluded successfully with Vote of Thanks by Adin K. Wanglar, Chairman Church Board, with closing prayer by Kh. John, CBM followed by flag dehoisiting by Ng. Gilbert and Grand Feast Prayer by Kumar Khartu, Former Chief.
