CHANDEL: The Bujuur Aanchung Puh (BAP), the apex body of the Moyon tribe, on Tuesday honoured those individuals from the tribe that had made distinguished achievements during a programme held at the Thoma Memorial Hall at Kapaam in Chandel district.

The programme, Pride of our Community: Recognition Ceremony, was organised in honour of the distinguished achievements and dedicated service of Moyon achievers.

During the programme, Lucksha N. Moyon, Rank 108, MCS CCE 2022; John Chinir Moyon, Commandant, BSF; Lt. Col. Lemjoy Chara, AMC, MOD; DR. Roel Langshong, Professor, RIMS; DR. Joyce Chara, DIG (MEDICAL), CRPF; DR. Danney Chara, Principal, United College, Chandel.

Francis Chinir Moyon, President, BAP, while welcoming the gathering, said the programme was held to honour those individuals from the Moyon tribe that had distinguished achievements and brought name to the community.

Chairman of Moyon Chief Association, R. Angningden Moyon also congratulated the individuals for their distinguished achievements and wished them the best for their future endeavours. He said they were God’s blessing to the people of the Moyon Community.

Blessing Minister Reverend Roel Pheliboy Moyon, Executive Secretary, MYNBA prayed and thanked God for the achievements of these individuals. Exhalting them, the Reverend said every individual should always put God first to be successful in life.

Speaking on their achievements and experiences, the honorees expressed their gratitude for the honour and said that their success has been possible due to the love and support of the people. They assured to work with sincerity and dedication and bring more honour to the Moyon Community.

The programme was attended by Church leaders, youth leaders, women leaders from various Moyon Naga villages in Chandel.

The programme was also organised with the aim to set these individuals as an example and inspire the young generation from the community to be successful in their lives.
