CHANDEL May 23: Japhou Youth Club (JYC) organized a Career Counselling and Felicitation Programme to honour and encourage the successful student-members of the Club in Class X and Class XII for their commendable academic achievements conducted by Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in an auspicious function held on 23rd May 2026 at Conference Hall, Japhou Baptist Church (JBC) Office. Distinguished resource persons, and invited guests addressed the gathering and share insights to motivate the students in pursuing their aspirations and goals.

The career counselling session began with a word prayer by Upa Sh. Cliff, Secretary, Japhou Baptist Church (JBC) and facilitated by Dr. K. Onand Monsang, Asst. Professor DM University Imphal. The session focused on various academic streams, higher education options, competitive examinations, vocational courses, and career prospects to assist students in making informed decisions for their future.

The Felicitation Program was moderated by Miss Ng. Parningkham, Vice President, followed by invocation of God’s grace by Upa Sh. Dilbert, Associate Pastor, JBC.

In his Presidential address, Mr. Ng. Kennedy Monsang, President, greeted the dignitaries, parents, well wishers for their positive support and extended warmest congratulations to all the successful candidates. He emphasized that conducting such program is one of the important initiatives JYC is indebted to organise which rarely took place in the Club’s history. It is paramount to recognize the hard work, dedication, and success of students who have successfully passed their board examinations, while also providing valuable guidance on future educational and career opportunities.

In his speech as Guest of Honour, Dr. Sh. Willson Monsang, District Food Safety Officer Chandel and President, Monsang Officer’s Association talked about importance of being focused to stay committed to their goals that would prevent them from losing sight of their objectives. Focus strengthens commitment and keeps individuals motivated even when facing challenges and setbacks. Consistent focus will enable the students to make steady progress and achieve their desired goals successfully.

Gracing the program as Chief Guest, Dr. Danney Chara Moyon, Principal, United College Lambung-Chandel encouraged the the students to maintain Self-discipline as it is one of the most important qualities for achieving goals. It will provide the commitment and consistency needed to reach their desired goals. It will also help individuals stay focused on their goals and avoid distractions while concentrating on priorities which will keep efforts aligned with their objectives. Self-discipline contributes to character building, confidence, and emotional control, leading to overall personal development.

The felicitation program included a special prayer for the students led by Rev. K. Kumar, Pastor, JBC. The program saw presentation of mementoes and certificates to the dignitaries and successful candidates as a mark of appreciation and encouragement. Th. Moningdar, JYC Education Secretary expressed words of gratitude to the Parents, students, community leaders, and well-wishers in attendance for their active participation and making the program possible. Upa K. Morling, Deacon, JBC pronounced the closing prayer.
