CNPO Undertook Pallel-Chandel Road Inspection over ‘poor quality’ construction

Chandel Naga People’s Organization (CNPO) in collaboration with other Civil Society Organization of the district embarked on road inspection mission from Chandel district headquarters to Pallel which is presently under construction by Krishna Construction Company (KCC) today.

The objective of the visiting team CNPO said the inspection is to primarily assess the current road construction by KCC after receiving many complaints from citizens and tribe leaders regarding the quality of the road condition in particular. The visiting team headed by CNPO intimated the KCC for the quality work they have compromised.

According to David Boyes, President CNPO, citizens today are knowledgeable and actively involved in the well-being of the district. He reiterated that the stone chip materials used in the road construction is of poor quality and the result speaks for itself.

Later, the road inspection team under CNPO had a short interaction with members of Krisna Construction Company represented by senior project manager K. Pandey and junior engineers Mahesh and Amit in the presence of Kapaam village authority members at Kapaam, Chandel.

The visiting team and the village authority appealed for quality work so that the condition of the road is maintained to avoid public grievances and protest.
