COVID-19 active cases decline to 325 in Manipur

Imphal: The number of COVID-19 active cases in Manipur declined to 325 after 23 patients were discharged upon recovery opposed to 20 fresh cases reported on Monday.

With no fresh death reported in the last 24 hours, the fatality toll in the state remained at 1,990, the state Health department said, in its latest bulletin.

The 23 fresh cases (11 males and nine females) from the general populace took the overall infection count of COVID-19 in the state to 1,25,535.

Of this total, 1,23,220 have been recovered and the recovery rate of the state is 98.16%.

After the discharge of 23 patients upon recovery on the day, there were 325 active cases, out of which 60 were in home isolations.

The 20 fresh cases were detected upon testing of 1,020 samples in the last 24 hours and the positivity rate of the day is 2.0%.

As per the state IDSP’s status update data, 11 fresh cases were reported in Imphal West district in the last 24 hours while seven cases reported in Imphal East district.

One case each was reported in Bishnupur and Senapati district while the rest 14 districts reported zero fresh cases.

The total doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered in the state also reached 22,36,856 with 2,234 people being vaccinated on Sunday.

Of this total, 13,02,618 were first doses and the remaining 9,34,238 second doses, the Health department said.
