Covid-19: At 459, Manipur sees decline in new cases, lowest in June, 16 deaths in 24 hrs

Covid-19 cases in Manipur saw 459 new cases, the lowest decline in June, taking the total tally to 60311, while the death toll has touch 990 with 16 more fatality on Monday, the state health department informed.

As per government of Manipur, the total number of persons vaccinated till Thursday stands at 467403.

As many as 5257 COVID-19 test results were received out of which 136 positive cases were from Imphal West, 78 from Bishnupur, 77 in Thoubal district as the top three highest daily new positive cases among the districts in Manipur. Imphal East reported 39, Chandel and Tamenglong 10 each, 25 in Churachandpur, 29 from Kakching, 26 in Ukhrul, 11 in Tengnoupal, 2 in Phrezwal and 7 in Kangpokpi.

The culminative number of test results received as of Sunday stands at 8,18,497 in Manipur.

In the past 24 hours, 16 persons died due to COVID-29 related health complications. Among them 4 were from Imphal West, 3 each from Imphal East, Churachandpur and Thoubal, 1 in Kakching and 2 in Bishnupur.

A total of 4,67,403 people in the state have been administered the Covid-19 vaccine, while a total of 1451 D-type Oxygen cylinders and 413 B-type Oxygen Cylinders have been distributed in various health services in the state, the release added. District hospitals and government institutions have 333D,64B filled cylinders out of these, Bishnupur 51D,5B, Chandel 31D,7B, Churachandpur 51D,0B, Senapati 32D,0B, Thoubal 74D,19B, Ukhrul 17D,0B, Tamenglong 15D,5B, Jiribam 34D,2B, Moreh 5D,1B, Kamjong 3D,1B, Kangpokpi 5D,0B, Kakching 7D,18B, Noney 2D,0B, Pherzwal 6D,2B, The Health department updated.
