UT News Service | July 13: The COVID-19 recovery rate in Manipur increased to 59.65 percent on Monday after 74 persons were discharged in the last 24 hours, an official source in the Manipur Health department said.
The cumulative number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Manipur stands at 1626 with the detection of 17 fresh cases in the last 24 hours.
Of this, 656 are active cases of COVID-19 and 970 are recovered cases.
The recovery rate increased as 74 persons were discharged to register the highest single-day discharge of COVID-19 infected persons on Monday.
A total of 74 persons were discharged from Covid care centres (CCCs) after they were found free from COVID-19 on RT PCR test, said the official source from the Health department. Ten of them were discharged from UNNACO CCC at Meitram, 28 from Tamenglong CCC, three from Thoubal CCC, six from Senapati CCC, five from Ukhrul and 22 from JNIMS CCC, the source further said.
Meanwhile, of the 17 fresh cases detected on Monday, three are Churachandpur, five from Imphal East and nine from Senapati district.
They will be shifted to the nearest Covid care facilities, officials said, while informing that all necessary medical precautionary measures such as containment and contact tracing are in place.
