COVID-19 update: 3002 recovered, Total case 4925 in Manipur

UT News Service | IMPHAL, AUG 20: Manipur has good news on COVID-19 on Thursday as the state saw 117 persons recovered from COVID-19. 

With this update, the number of COVID-19 recovered cases rose to 3002 in the state. The recovered cases included 875 CAPF personnel, an official report of the state Health department said.

Meanwhile, the state recorded 40 new locally contracted cases of COVID-19 on Thursday. According to the report, 19 of them are from Imphal West, six from Imphal East, four from Bishnupur, seven from Thoubal, two from Ukhrul and one each from Senapati and Chandel district. They were shifted to the Covid care facilities, the source said.

According to the report, the 40 new locally transmitted cases were detected in the last 24 hours (from 5pm of August 19 till 5pm of August 20).

With this new cases, the number of COVID-19 cases in the state rose to 4925.
