UKHRUL: The 94 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) conducted a cleanliness drive at Saparmeina in Kangpokpi district today as part of the Swachh Bharat Diwas observance.
The programme, organised under the supervision of 94 Battalion Commandant Ashok Kumar Singh, was held in line with the Ministry of Home Affairs and CRPF Directorate’s “Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath” initiative, with the objective of promoting cleanliness and responsible waste disposal among personnel and the local community.

Officers and personnel of the battalion participated in the cleanliness campaign conducted in and around the Eklavya Model Residential School, Saparmeina. The drive included removal and collection of litter and cleaning of public and common areas.
A large number of NCC students from the school also took part in the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Commandant Ashok Kumar Singh stressed the importance of collective responsibility and public participation in maintaining clean surroundings and a healthy environment.
He said the CRPF would continue undertaking initiatives aimed at promoting cleanliness, environmental protection and social responsibility as part of its commitment to society and the nation.
