UKHRUL: Under the aegis of the IG, Manipur & Nagaland Sector, the 86 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) successfully conducted a Pre-Recruitment Training and Drive under its Civic Action Programme (CAP), which concluded on Thursday at Mother International School in Makhan village under Sapormeina Police Station, Kangpokpi district, Manipur.
The training programme was held from January 6 to January 22 and was aimed at preparing young aspirants from Makhan and Leikhampokpi villages for recruitment into the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).
The closing ceremony was presided over by Shri Ravindra Kumar, Second-in-Command (currently holding charge of Commandant, 86 Battalion CRPF), in the presence of Shri Shivraj Bahulya, Assistant Commandant, 112 Battalion CRPF and Training In-Charge, TTH Chilchil.
Other attendees included officers of 86 Battalion CRPF, village chiefs and chairmen of Makhan and Leikhampokpi villages, the Pradhan of Kanglatongbi Gram Panchayat, local dignitaries, villagers, students, and CAPF aspirants who participated in the programme.
As part of the Civic Action Programme, Shri Ravindra Kumar inaugurated a mini football ground developed by the 86 Battalion CRPF. He also distributed sports kits, sportswear, and certificates of appreciation to the participating youth from the villages.
An interactive session was held involving CRPF personnel, village leaders, guardians, and aspirants, focusing on youth guidance, career opportunities, and community welfare. During the interaction, Shri Ravindra Kumar highlighted the role of the CRPF as a key pillar of security and stability, emphasizing its ongoing efforts to foster trust, understanding, and mutual respect with the local population. He also thanked the villagers and youth for their enthusiastic participation and cooperation.

The villagers of Makhan and Leikhampokpi expressed their appreciation to the 86 Battalion CRPF for its initiatives in providing security, supporting the local community, and organising the pre-recruitment training programme, while expressing hope for continued cooperation and better future prospects for local youth.
