Senapati: Office bearers and workers of Naga People’s Front (NFP) from 48-Mao AC drawn from almost of 9 DCC tendered their resignation en-masse on Tuesday alleging betrayal from NPF central leadership.

In a press conference, political agent of Mao AC MLA Ng. Zevikho Rosii informed that, the mass resignation of all members from the party was initiated as NPF leadership under Dr. Shiirhozelie Liezietsu seriously breached the party principle while the then NPF Legislator leader T.R Zeliang indulged into manipulative role in awarding ministerial berth to its MLA Losii Dikho recently.

It alleged that the repeated betrayal of NPF central leadership was beyond tolerance as its MLA Losii Dikho who has won consecutively three times against all odds and sacrificed every resource to keep the NPF party alive was ditched without reason or explanation. The blatant denial of ministerial berth despite keeping MLA Losii Dikho in serial number 1, and again unceremoniously relegated to number 2 and finally denied the deserving cabinet berth without even any courtesy explanation was rubbing salt in the wounds, the party worker leader alleged.

The disgruntled party members alleged that, despite patiently waiting sincere response from NPF central leadership, no gesture was extended from its end. Therefore, the 48-Mao AC NPF tendered its resignation en-masse as the party leaders are beyond corrections without any realization and introspection and that, party workers will be political blunder to continue in such party which they have served with full dedication and faith on NPF party leaders.
