Organized and produced by ETv Italy, Naorem showcased his latest collection “Manipur” at the prestigious fashion show at Melia Hotel in Milan, Italy.

His latest collection “Manipur” is a tribute to his home state’s cultural and artistic brilliance. It incorporates the state emblem, indigenous animals, flowers, birds, and traditional scripts—all signature elements of RN Designs.

“My vision for reviving handloom and promoting sustainable fashion is at the heart of this collection, which showcases the versatility of Manipur’s woven silks, enhanced with intricate hand embroidery to cater to the international market,” said Naorem.

The collection seamlessly blends tradition with contemporary aesthetics, featuring the original traditional attire, Indian sarees, and Western silhouettes, all crafted from the exquisite weaves of Manipur in the elegant color palette of black, cream, and ivory.

Adding glamour to the event, Manipur artist Suchitra Wangkhem walked the runway along with 15 European models, accompanied by the soulful music of Mangka, further amplifying the deep-rooted cultural essence of Manipur’s heritage.

Naorem’s participation in this prestigious event served as a beacon of hope and resilience, bringing much-needed visibility to Manipur’s textile sector during these difficult times.
