Ukhrul: Eagles Volleyball Club Retains Title

Ukhrul, Feb 26: Eagles Volleyball Club has retained the coveted title in the 10th edition of the Maj Bob Khathing Ralengnao Women’s Volleyball Championship 2025.

Eagles Volleyball Club defeated the Ukhrul Police Women’s Team by a score of 3-1, securing the championship for the second consecutive year (2024 and 2025).

The award for Best Spiker was presented to Rinrichon Shang of the Ukhrul Police Women’s Team, while the Best Player of the Tournament award went to MC Phy of the Eagles Volleyball Club.

A total of five teams participated in the 11th edition of the Maj Bob Khathing Ralengnao Women’s Volleyball Championship 2025.

The final match, played on Wednesday at Thahao Ground, Ukhrul, was attended by Deputy Commandant of the 18 Assam Rifles, SK Jaswal; SDPO of Ukhrul, Hopkinson Chiphang; Assistant Commandant of the 22 Adhoc BSF, Pratap; and other dignitaries.

Meanwhile, the reigning champions of the Maj Bob Khathing Ralengnao Football Tournament 2024, Hunphun Phungcham Football Association (HPFA), will defend their title in the final clash against Semka FC on Thursday at Ukhrul Headquarters at 10:00 AM sharp. Earlier, HPFA defeated UTUFC with a score of 3-0 in the first semi-final, while Semka FC secured their place in the final by defeating Ruivah Brothers 2-1 in the second semi-final match.
