Do not harass or disturb Nagas in Manipur: United Naga Council

Senapati, June 9: The United Naga Council (UNC) has once again appealed to all concerned not to harass or disturb any Naga in the state of Manipur, even as communal violence continues in the state since May 3. “We would like to remind once again to all concerned not to harass or disturb any Naga in the ongoing violence between two communities,” the UNC said.

While issuing this appeal, the UNC also released the names of “Naga tribes who are the constituent Naga tribe Hohos of the United Naga Council so that no one should make any grave mistake”.

The constituent “tribe Hohos” of the UNC are: Anal Naga Tangpi, Aimol Tribe Union, Moyon Tribe Union (Bujuur Aangchung Puh), Chiru Union, Chothe Lim Abom, Inpui Naga Union, Kharam Union, Lamkang Naga Kver Kunpun, Liangmai Naga Council, Mao Council, Maram Naga Union, Maring Uparup Assembly, Poumai Naga Union, Rongmei Naga Council, Monsang Tribe Union (Sirti Upa Ruh), Tangkhul Naga Long, Tarao Tribe Union, Thangal Khanglong (Thangal Union), Uipo (Khoibu) Maruo Koukartou and Zeme Naga Council.

The UNC also issued some of the names of Naga families residing in Langol Housing Complex in Imphal so that no one should make any mistake regarding these families for other communities.

According to the UNC, St Momo Anal and family reside in type 3 (H-5), Lh Nini Anal and family reside in type 3 (H-28), Rl Hringjoyni Anal and family reside in type 3 (H-15), Ps Rephowl Anal in type 3 (G-81), Hl Warhring Anal in type 3 (G-36), Ps Phetha Anal in type 3 (F-81), Lh Thumtha Anal in type 2 (C-16),Ts Dalhlung Anal in type 2 (A-16), Lh Shangkham Anal in type 2 (A-50), Lk Angno Anal in type 2 (A-3), St Momo Anal in type 3 (H-5), Lh Nini Anal in type 3 (H-28), Rl Hringjoyni Anal in type 3 (H-15), Ps Rephowl Anal in type 3 (G-81), Hl Warhring Anal in type 3 (G-36), Ps Phetha Anal in type 3 (F-81), Lh Thumtha Anal in type 2 (C-16),Ts Dalhlung Anal in type 2 (A-16), Lh Shangkham Anal in type 2 (A-50), Lk Angno Anal in type 2 (A-3), Ps Jolkham Anal in type 2 (A-40), Ps Hringtun Anal in type 2 (A-5), Ps Jolkham Anal in type 2 (A-40) and Ps Hringtun Anal and family reside in type 2 (A-5).
