Don Bosco Maram Students Launch Community Field Work in Lungreiphung Village

Ukhrul, Aug 24: Students from Don Bosco College (Autonomous) Maram, specifically from the Department of Social Work, have commenced their Concurrent Field Work at Lungreiphung Village in Ukhrul District, Manipur. The initiative began on August 23, 2024, and will continue until August 31, 2024.

A group of eight 5th-semester social work trainees are leading the field work, which is centered around the theme “To Assist and Enhance Effective Growth and Development.” Their activities aim to support the local children through various programs.

The inaugural event at Lungreiphung was graced by several dignitaries, including Chairman RK Ishmael, the Village Secretary, the Pastor of Lungreiphung Baptist Church, and the Catechist of Lungreiphung Catholic Church.

During their field work, the trainees will engage in a range of activities including soft skills workshops, cleanliness drives, tutoring sessions, and other competitive events. These efforts are designed to not only benefit the local children but also to facilitate a mutual learning experience between the trainees and the village community.
