Imphal, July 29: Dr. Syed Ahmed, an Associate Professor in the Department of History at DM College of Arts, Imphal, has been conferred with the prestigious Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Award, 2024, for his exceptional contributions as an educator. Dr. Ahmed was recognized for his dedication to motivating youth and transforming countless lives through education.

The award ceremony took place at a Conclave organized by the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Global Foundation on July 27, 2024, at the Delhi Vidhan Sabha (Old Secretariat), New Delhi. The event marked the 9th Death Anniversary of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, the former President of India. Several notable personalities from various fields were also honored during the function.

The conclave saw the presence of eminent dignitaries, including Speaker of the Delhi Vidhan Sabha Ram Niwas Goel, Chairperson of the National Commission for Minorities Iqbal Singh Lalpura, diplomats, MPs, and other distinguished guests. Speakers at the event reflected on the life and contributions of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, celebrating his legacy and inspiring the attendees.
