Eastern Kuki Chiefs Welcome Thuingaleng Muivah to Ukhrul

Kamjong, October 14: The Eastern Kuki Chiefs Association (EKCA), Chassad, Kamjong, has extended a warm welcome to Thuingaleng Muivah, General Secretary of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Isak Muivah (NSCN-IM) and Ato Kilonser (Prime Minister) of the Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim (GPRN), on his visit to Ukhrul and Somdal, his ancestral village.

In a statement issued on Monday, the association described Th. Muivah’s visit as “historic” and lauded his lifelong dedication to the Naga political movement. “We extend our heartfelt greetings and respect to Th. Muivah for his tireless efforts in pursuing the Naga political struggle. His dedication and leadership have inspired generations of Nagas,” the EKCA said.

The association also expressed solidarity with the NSCN-IM and GPRN, reaffirming support for their pursuit of a “peaceful and lasting solution” to the Naga issue. “We commend Th. Muivah’s unwavering commitment to the Naga cause and his vision for a sovereign Nagalim,” it stated, calling upon all stakeholders to join in welcoming the NSCN-IM leader.
