‘Elect candidates who knows tribal issues, not political party’: All Manipur Tribal Union

Imphal: The All Manipur Tribal Union (AMTU) while appealing all the tribal citizens of Manipur hill districts, urged all to elect political leaders who knows tribal issue in the upcoming 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly polls to be held in February 27 and March 3.

AMTU said that it is a non political tribal issue based civil organization.

It called upon responsible electoral voters of Manipur hill districts to distinguish between candidates on the basis of tribal political issue interest.

“We the Manipur tirbal people have political issues of MLR/LR 1960/62 read with provision 1975/76, covering of all jungles of Manipur hill districts under Manipur Forest Department as per the Manipur High Court dercree 2018 and ADC Bill 2021,” the press note stated.
