Election Observers take stock of poll preparedness in Senapati District

Senapati: The General Observer, Police Observer and Expenditure Observer together with the District Election Officer, Senapati and all the Nodal Officers held a meeting today on poll preparedness at DC Conference Hall.

The Observers include General Observer Mohammed Ali Shihab, IAS, Police Observer K. Narayan Naik, IPS and Expenditure Observer Uddaya Bhaskar Jakke, IRS.

During the meeting, the District Election Officer Mahesh Chaudhari, IAS briefed the observers with a power point presentation about poll preparation and steps taken up by the District Administration for free, fair, safe and peaceful State Assembly Elections, 2022.

Karthick Malladi, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Senapati also highlighted in the meeting on the security measures taken up for poll preparedness.

The General Observer said that all the election officials should work out together and take full effort to make repoll free elections in the district. He also appealed the RO’s and ARO’s to visit personally at multi polling stations.

The Meeting was attended by all the Nodal Officers, ROs and AROs.

Meanwhile, scrutiny for 3 Assembly Constituencies of Senapati District has been successfully completed today at respective ROs in Mini Secretariat Complex, Senapati.

Altogether, 12 candidates are vying for 3 assembly seats of 47-Karong AC, 48-Mao AC and 49-Tadubi AC. Last date of withdrawal is set for February 16 next.
