While a bird walk and campaign against road-side littering and dumping had to be cancelled due to the rain, ENFOGAL took up a short introduction and awareness program to emphasize the importance of mass participation in saving the planet.
Yoyung from ENFOGAL said, “Students and youths are the most effective group to spread awareness, and we need their support to create a better environment.”
ENFOGAL has been actively involved in various social and environmental activities such as bird watching, bird identification, and litter campaigns. So far, they have identified 150 birds in and around the Ukhrul district, including two newly found species in the area.
Later, ENFOGAL conducted a live webinar in collaboration with Samayu titled “Food and You 2.0”, where Dr. Achyuthan Eswar talked about how he dedicated his life to healing without medicine. Speaking about conscious eating, he emphasized the importance of a plant-based diet and its positive impact on our health and the environment.
The webinar was well-attended, and participants appreciated the importance of conscious eating and how it can contribute to reducing the carbon footprint.
The event also highlighted the need for individual and collective action to tackle environmental issues and promote sustainable living.
