Fatal vehicle collision at Kwakeithel leaves two dead

Two women aged 22 and 18 died at the collision scene on Thursday as the two wheeler they were riding collided with a water tanker near Kwakeithel traffic point.

According to source, the incident occurred around 12:00 pm in the afternoon.

The deceased individuals were identified as Yurembam Silvia Devi, 22 year old, d/o Y. Brajamani Singh and Y. Premilata of Singjamei Chongtham Leikai; Thoudam Chinglembi Devi 18 year old, d/o Th. Nilachandra Singh of Kakwa Lamdaibung, Imphal West.

The deceased have been deposited to RIMS mortuary in the presence of the deceased ‘s families.
