Father-son killed in road mishap in Manipur’s Thoubal Dist

Imphal: In tragic incident, a father-son duo was killed in a road accident along National Highway-102 near Khongjom War Memorial Complex in Manipur’s Thoubal District Friday afternoon.

The deceased persons are identified as Phurisabam Sanahal Singh (37) from Salungpham Kangthokchao Mayai Leikai and his six-year-old minor son, Ph. Rumpish. Ph. Sanahal Singh died on the spot while his son succumbed to his injuries at Thoubal District Hospital.

The incident reportedly occurred around 2:30 pm. The father and son were riding a Dx Dio bike bearing registration number MN-06SD- 9928. Their bike collided with an i20 Asta car bearing registration number MN-01AS-3001.

Khongjom Police Station team led by OC N.Suresh inspected the accident site. A case has been registered and the bodies have been deposited at JINMS morgue.
