Ukhrul, June 8: The All Naga Students’ Association, Manipur (ANSAM) on Sunday joined the fellowship with Somdal Baptist Church in Ukhrul district, marking the first ANSAM Day of Prayer.
On June 6, ANSAM had appealed to all its constituent and subordinate units to observe the ANSAM Day of Prayer on June 8, 2025 in accordance with the resolutions adopted in the First Legislative Assembly of ANSAM for the tenure 2024-2026 at Heibunglok village in Chandel district.
ANSAM had requested its units to observe ANSAM Day of Prayer in a convenient and feasible manner for each unit.

Somadal Baptist Church Pastor Reverend Aping Khamrang showered blessings upon the ANSAM leaders and led the intercession for the key prayers’ points outlined by the association.
Key Prayer points outlined by the association included ANSAM and its Units, seeking God’s ceaseless guidance and blessings in serving the Naga people, and in addressing issues concerning the rights of the Naga people, Naga unity, and a logical settlement of the Indo-Naga political conflict based on the Framework agreement that is inclusive, honourable, and acceptable.

Other prayer focuses include the reinstatement of the Free Movement Regime (FMR), concerns over the imposed border fencing construction, challenges facing the Nagas in their homeland, the academic and career pursuits of Naga students, the good health and safety of ANSAM leaders, Naga CSO leaders, National Workers, Politicians, and Public leaders.
