Five cadres of NSCN (IM) arrested

Kohima Police along with security forces arrested five cadres of NSCN (IM) from Tseminyu on 04-07-2020, on charges of extortion and illegal possession of arms.

The arrested accused persons have been identified as: (1) SS. Capt. Tenyenseng Seb (51 yrs), (2) SS 2nd Leut. Somingam Shang (32 yrs), (3) SS Pvt. Somirin Tangkhul (21 yrs), (4) SS. Capt. Bopai Konyak (34 yrs) and (5) SS. Sgt. Maj. Nagawangbou Wijunamai (29 yrs).

In this connection, 84 Nos. of extortion slips, 2 Nos. of .32 Pistol, 10 rounds of .32 live ammunitions, 5 mobile phones, 5 pairs of camouflage uniform, 2 combat bags, Maruti Gypsy b/r. No. NL03-1769 along with ignition key and documents, 3 pen drives and a cheque book were recovered and seized from their possession.

Accordingly, a case vide Tseminyu PS Case No. 0008/2020 was registered against the arrested accused persons and investigation taken up.
