Manipur’s COVID-19 caseload surged to 29,309 on Thursday with four more fresh cases reported during the past 24 hours (till 4pm of March 11).
As three patients were discharged upon recovery from the viral infection, the recovery tally also rose to 28,900. As four new cases reported against the three recoveries, the active case rose to 36 against 35 on the previous day.
The recovery rate of the state stood at 98.60%.
The death toll from the Covid-19 in the state remained at 373 as no fatality was reported on Thursday for 30th consecutive days. The state reported no death since February 8 last.
According to the state health department, the four cases were reported from Imphal East, Tamenglong, Kakching and Churachandpur districts.
Of the three patients discharged today upon recovery, one was from a private hospital while the rest two from home isolation.
On the other hand, a total of 1,123 people were vaccinated on Thursday to take the total number of people vaccinated against COVID-19 in the state to 73,510. The total included 30,581 healthcare workers.
