Ganga Prasad, governor of Sikkim has been sworn in as the governor-designate of Manipur at Raj Bhavan today afternoon.
The swearing in comes after a press communique from Rashtrapati Bhavan Tuesday directed Ganga Prasad to discharge the functions of the governor of Manipur in addition to his own duties as governor of Sikkim during the absence of Dr. Najma A. Heptulla.
Arunachal Pradesh governor B. D. Mishra landed in Mizoram Wednesday after he was also given the charge of Mizoram. Brigadier B. D. Mishra was administered the oath of office by Justice Michael Zothankhuma at a swearing-in ceremony held under strict COVID-19 protocols at the Raj Bhavan in Aizawl, according to DIPR Mizoram.
Chief minister, N. Biren Singh took to twitter about the swearing in ceremony, “Attended the swearing in ceremony of Shri Ganga Prasad, Governor-designate of Manipur at Raj Bhavan today. Also apprised him about important matters of the State.”
