Head Coach of Manipur Sub-Junior Boys Sh. Promshing Monsang Feted

Chandel: Sh. Promshing Monsang, Head Coach of Manipur Sub-Junior Boy’s who have brought laurels to the state as Runners Up of the recently concluded Sub-Junior Boy’s National Football Championship (NFC) 2024-25 held at Bengaluru, Karnataka from September 7 to 22, 2024 was felicitated by the Japhou Youth Club (JYC) Chandel at the club office on Saturday. The programme was moderated by Ts. Dearson, VP, JYC.

The felicitation ceremony was attended by Rev. Dr. Ng. Molarhring Monsang, Asst Pastor, Japhou Baptist Church (JBC) as the blessing minister. Wanglar Thiirtung, President Monsang Sporting Association (MOSA), Sh. Felix, Speaker Naga Students’ Union Chandel (NSUC) Ng. Hubert Vice President Sirti Thiimjiitam Sourkhe (STS), Wanglar Philip, General Secy STS, Th. Milan Sports Secy, STS, Ng. Kephasha Genevieve, Finance Secy, STS, Ng. Kennedy, Director JBYF, Sh. Alfred, Director CSS JBC also attended the felicitation programme among others as special guests and invitees.

Nicolas Ngoru, General Secy, Japhou Youth Club (JYC) in his welcome address extended his warm welcome to all the special guests and invitees including parents of Sh. Promshing for attending the felicitation ceremony.

Monsang traditional scarf and mementos with congratulatory notes were gifted to Sh. Promshing from Japhou Youth Club, Sirti Thiimjiitam Sourkhe, family and friends of Sh. Promshing as a symbol of love, appreciation and encouragement.

Wanglar Thiirtung, President MOSA, in his speech congratulated Sh. Promshing for his remarkable achievement in his first assignment as head coach of the sub junior boys’ team outside the state. It is a historic achievement. He also categorically emphasized that all ‘Monsang Sports Achievers’ cutting across various disciplines shall be given a befitting felicitation by the association as and when the right time comes and encourage the participating youths to work hard with commitment and dedication in their respective fields.

Sh. Promshing in his short speech thanked everyone for the love and support given to him. “Such a beautiful gesture of love, appreciation and support motivates him to excel for better and achieve greater heights in future for the district and the state,” Sh. Promshing said.

Sh. Ginet father of Sh. Promshing also extended his gratitude to the organizing committee JYC in particular, and STS, MOSA, LCYCC, DSA Chandel, AMFA officials for reposing their faith in his son and the moral support given. May God bless you all, he mentioned.

During the ceremony, Rev. Dr. Ng Molarhring congratulated Sh. Promshing and invoked for more blessing upon Sh. Promshing in his future endeavours.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and refreshment prayer by Sh. Sepberngam, Social & Culture Secy, JYC.
