Kohima: S Supongmeren Jamir, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), has been appointed to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Communications and Information Technology for 2024-25.

The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) extended its congratulations to Jamir, as this appointment indicates his visionary and unfettered dedication to the development of his constituency and the state at large.

“Jamir has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to improving the welfare of the people he represents. Since his election as MP, he has initiated numerous programs aimed at uplifting his constituents and contributing to the progress of Nagaland,” the NPCC said in a statement issued by its Communications Department.

As a member of the Standing Committee, Jamir’s role will help shape policies related to communications and information technology, a sector that is an increasing national and state-level factor for development. His zeal for public service and his acumen are conducive to driving forward key initiatives that could impact the digital and technological landscape across the country.
