SENAPATI: The District Health Society, Senapati, led by Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Senapati, Dr. Sumpi Percy, conducted a health awareness programme and free medical camp for displaced persons staying at Emesiiphro Community Hall, Senapati, on Saturday.
Dr. Losica, Nodal Officer, informed that as part of the routine health screening, a total of 62 persons underwent free health check-ups during the camp. According to the doctor, most of the patients were found suffering from upper respiratory tract infections and other viral infections, along with dietary problems, sleep-related problems, high blood pressure and other health-related conditions.
The patients were provided free medicines and other medical supplies during the camp.
The relief camps at Emesiiphro Community Hall and Liangmai Taphou were established by the Naga People’s Organisation (NPO) in collaboration with the District Administration, Senapati, for persons displaced by the ongoing ethnic conflict.
