Hnatham Youth Club Celebrates 36th Youth Day

CHANDEL: The Hnatham Youth Club on Monday celebrated its 36th Youth Day at the Hnatham Primary School, Hnatham village in Chandel district. The day aimed to observe the achievements and glories of the youth club over the last one year.

Moderated by Ps Satlihring, the celebration began with the hoisting of the club flag by Kl Armyhring, former president of the youth club.

Welcoming the public, Ng Vikram, president of the Hnatham Youth Club extended his best wishes for a grand success of the event. He said the programme would be a success because of those present and supporting the event.

Chief guest of the day, Nl Gladney, joint director, Department of Agriculture, GoM, congratulated the youth club for the successful completion of 36 years as a club. She said it was important that youths take a vital role in not taking only the club forward but also the village and the community.

She further emphasized the role of youth in a society and how they can help develop a village, a society and take it forward. The chief guest also encouraged the club to lead in developing the Anal Naga community in general and the village in particular.

As guest of honour, St Ruth Anal, HM (Retd), ADC Chandel; functional president Ht Toyang Anal, FWS, Female Head Supervisor, PHC Tengnoupal and chief of Hnatham village, Wl Robertson Anal, congratulated the youth club on successful completion of 36 years. They encouraged the youth club to take initiative roles in taking the village forward.

The celebration also saw various extravaganza activities such as melodious songs from Women Fellowship, HBC; Lh Angel Anal, Nl Khivarhman and Nl Thumsol.

The day’s activities ended with a vote of thanks by Nl Gershom, vice president, Hnatham Youth Club and the de-hoisting of the flag by Ng Vikram, president of the youth club.
