Homeland Security, 9 Sector Assam Rifles Organise Blood Donation Camp in Imphal

IMPHAL: Homeland Security, in collaboration with 9 Sector Assam Rifles, IGAR (South), organised a blood donation camp under the theme “Securing Life” at Sanjeevani Complex, North AOC near PDA in Imphal on Monday.

More than 65 male and female security personnel of Homeland Security voluntarily donated blood during the programme aimed at supporting life-saving efforts and community welfare.

The camp was organised in association with the Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur State Branch, Department of Transfusion Medicine, RIMS, State Blood Transfusion Council (SBTC), and National Health Mission (NHM), Manipur.

The initiative sought to promote voluntary blood donation, spread awareness on the importance of timely blood availability, and encourage humanitarian values among security personnel and citizens.

Speaking on the occasion, Homeland Security Director Rajkumar Babloo Singh said blood donation is one of the purest forms of service to humanity and added that the organisation remains committed towards community welfare and saving lives.

He also appreciated the support and cooperation extended by 9 Sector Assam Rifles, Indian Red Cross Society, RIMS, SBTC and NHM Manipur in successfully conducting the camp.
