Ukhrul, Mar 3: IHAO FC has emerged victorious in the Tribalhood Cup, Northeast Community Football Tournament, held in Chennai from Feb 25th to 28th. The team showcased exceptional teamwork, skill, and passion, securing the Champion title in the highly competitive tournament.
The Tribalhood Cup, organized by HAU Initiatives Northeast in collaboration with IIT-Madras, brought together diverse teams to celebrate the spirit of community football. With 8 teams participating, the event was successful, drawing attention from football lovers across the region.
IHAO FC’s remarkable victory culminated in an outstanding performance throughout the tournament, and the team earned the coveted Champion Trophy in addition to a cash prize of Rs. 2,00,000. Their journey to the championship was marked by thrilling matches, culminating in a dominant win in the final.

Along with the team’s victory, Ngamring received the Golden Boot for being the Top Scorer, having scored an impressive number of goals. Meanwhile, Leishising was honored with the Best Player Award for his exceptional all-around performance throughout the tournament.
Many players also gave standout performances in the tournament, but IHAO FC’s defense, midfield control, and striking abilities proved unmatched.
