Senapati: As the world celebrates the International Women’s Day on 8th March 2023, underlined by this year’s theme, ‘Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality’, St. Xavier College, Senapati did not fail to join hands in celebration. Organised by the college women cell, the fete commemorates the glorious social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, and lobbies for accelerated gender parity #GenderEquity.

The event witnessed the presence of about 30 women representatives across societies in Senapati town in addition to the college students and faculties. Assistant professor Athia Ridju, a member of the organising cell asserted that ‘women’s day is celebrated to honour the women’s achievement and acknowledge their significant contribution to the society’. It is precisely women who show and teach what love, caring, sharing and values are in life, she added.
