On social media, there has been an increase in theories about if the famous sitar player and composer Bhagirath Bhatt will appear in Bigg Boss Season 20. People who are excited for the new season of reality show Bigg Boss, hosted by Salman Khan, are now mentioning Bhagirath’s name in their chats and forums.
Many people are well versed in the work of Bhagirath Bhatt because much of his music has been used in films and concerts. They want to meet him at a reality television show to experience his personality outside of performance venues. However, there is no proof from either party about the validity of this news.
Bhagirath Bhatt is a highly respected musician who has contributed to several large projects, including films — Padmaavat, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, and Border 2 — and television series (i.e., Bandish Bandits, Heeramandi). Born on May 31, 1991, in Jamnagar, Gujarat, he was very young when he started learning to play music from his father, Pankaj Kumar Dineshchandra Bhatt, and was later taught by master musicians.
His formal education in music was achieved by earning a Gold Medal for Bachelor of Performing Arts (BPA) and a Master’s degree in Performing Arts (MPA) specialising in sitar from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. His work also embodies a spiritual connection with the music he performs; he regularly performs for Ram Katha, Bhagvat Katha and Shiv Mahapuran.

In the last few years, Bhagirath’s influence has gone beyond traditional music organisations. In 2025, he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from the Dunster Business School, Switzerland for contributing to Indian classical music on a global scale.
Additionally, there have been some confirmations from Salman Khan at the finale of Bigg Boss Season 19 about Bigg Boss 20 airing in approximately September 2026. The speculation surrounding the contestants is typical of every season; however, information from close friends of Bhagirath indicates he is more focused on developing future projects and performing internationally at this time than joining the reality series.
Nevertheless, his unwavering commitment to music has gained him admiration from audiences throughout India and around the world
