Joint Executive Committee of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association meeting held

Kohima: A joint meeting of the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) of India Region Zone III and Executive Council, North East Regional Institute of Parliamentary Studies, Training & Research (NERIPSTR) was held at Nagaland Legislative Assembly Secretariat in Kohima today.

The meeting was chaired by Speaker of Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Pasang Dorjee Sona.

Speakers of Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Tripura, Assam, Sikkim, and Deputy Speakers of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, and Sikkim Legislative Assemblies with Secretaries of Legislative Assemblies attended the meeting which was hosted by Nagaland. The welcome address was delivered by Nagaland Legislative Assembly Speaker, Sharingain Longkumer.

During the meeting, it was decided that the next Annual Conference will be held at Gangtok, Sikkim from January 10 to 12, 2023. The topics to be taken up during the conference were also discussed. 

A short video was presented on the achievements of the National eVidhan Application (NeVA) in the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, which is the first state in India to implement NeVA.
