UKHRUL:  The Joint Tribes Council (JTC) comprising Zeme, Liangmai, Rongmei, and Inpui tribes said it unanimously endorse the Foothills Naga Coordinating Committee (FNCC) and has resolved to intensify the bandh, restricting Kuki movement in Naga-inhabited areas of Manipur until the MoU signed between FNCC and state government on August 8, 2025 is fulfilled.

“The meeting strongly condemned the wilful acts of Kuki militants, highlighting the infringement on Nagas traditional rights, including ownership of land and resources, and the right to live with dignity,” JTC said in a statement.

It further stated that the meeting took note of the state government’s failure to honour the MoU signed between FNCC and the Commissioner cum Secretary (Home), Government of Manipur on August 8, 2025.
