The programme was conducted at Kethalmanbi village, where local youth—both boys and girls—from mixed communities including Kuki, Nepali and Naga participated. More than 100 youth registered for the programme, and following an initial screening process, 50 candidates—30 boys and 20 girls—were selected for the 15-day training programme, which was held from December 1 to December 15, 2025.
The training, the press note said, focused on preparation for Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Defence examinations. Both outdoor and indoor sessions were organised during the programme. Outdoor training included physical fitness and mental toughness, conducted by CRPF trainers, while indoor classes covered Reasoning, Elementary Mathematics, General Studies/Awareness, and English and Hindi. The indoor academic sessions were conducted by trained and experienced faculty from Gunshu Coaching Institute, Kangpokpi.
Participants were provided with breakfast and lunch, along with study materials and handouts, and mock tests were conducted to help students assess their preparation. During the programme, CRPF officers and officials also interacted with the trainees, sharing insights into the force and their professional experiences.
