Ukhrul: The Kuki-Zo community in Manipur gathered in celebration of Chavang Kut 2024, a traditional harvest festival, observed as “Kut for Christ” with a spiritual theme inspired by 1 Corinthians 10:31: “So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God,” organised by the Kuki Zo Nampi Taona (KZNT).

Committee on Tribal Unity (CoTU) said the festival was observed as a spiritual reconciliation in four different places of Kangpokpi District, namely Brig. Thomas ground Kangpokpi town, Saikul hill town, Gelnel village, and Leimakhong hill town.

The CoTU said the program began with a welcome speech by Rev. Thangsat Kipgen, Convenor of KZNT, who welcomed the attendees and led a tribute to the community’s martyrs. Dr. Rev. Hemkhochon Chongloi, Principal of TTS Kangpokpi, served as the keynote speaker, delivering a message that resonated with themes of faith and unity.
