KANGPOKPI: A child who went missing in Kangpokpi district yesterday was found alive today near the Ganggol River following a search and rescue operation involving the public, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel and Kangpokpi Police.

The missing boy, identified as Seimonhao Chongloi of Keithelmanbi Ward No. 9, was located by a search team near the Ganggol River.
According to Kangpokpi Police, the search operation, which began yesterday, resumed at 9:00 AM today. The search team was divided into four groups to cover different areas and directions, with a drone deployed for aerial surveillance.
After sustained efforts, one of the teams moving towards the Ganggol River located the boy alive. He was found sitting on a large stone and waiting for assistance.

The search operation concluded at around 11:30 AM, following which the boy was handed over to his father. The report also added that the boy’s health condition is stable and out of danger.
