KNF Commander-In-Chief nabbed in Delhi (NCR)

Mangkholam Kipgen, alias David Kipgen, the self-styled commander-in-chief of Kuki National Front (KNF) was today arrested by Delhi Police Special Cell from Dwarka, Delhi NCR, a Delhi based journalist confirmed.

Mangkholam Kipgen is a wanted insurgent in Manipur for various criminal offenses related to robbery, extortion kidnapping for ransom, arms snatching from police.

In August of 2021, 27 Kuki National Liberation Army (KNLA), said to be the last remaining militants surrendered in Karbi Anglong district, Assam. Chief minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma had made a public announcement regarding the surrender. 

Out of the twenty seven UPRF/KNLA militants, twenty-three were from Dillai Police station, one from Manja Police station, two from Bokajan and one from Haflong surrendered with 17 firearms, including four assault rifles, five pistols and six country-made guns before the police in Karbi Anglong, according to the Kuki National Liberation Army.
