Ukhrul: Atomy India, a South Korean direct selling e-commerce network marketing company, is creating a mass awareness campaign on oral health hygiene across India which began from the 75th Independence Day. Atomy India, through one of its Education Centre in Manipur’s Ukhrul– Ukhrul Ultimate Education Centre too, have initiated Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities as part of the campaign, on Sunday at Ukhrul FC Academy, Home Turf, Langdang.

The campaign commemorates the 75 years of India’s Independence Day as ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, celebrating the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements. The 75-day campaign mission targets to reach over 75,000 children, in 75 cities, through Atomy India Education Centres in creating oral hygiene by distributing Atomy oral care kits to underprivileged children across the country.

“Oral health is an integral part of our health. Atomy India is making an effort to address the health issues of the underprivileged children who have no access or resources to take care of their oral health hygiene and thus impacting their overall health,” said Abraham Lee, Managing Director, Atomy India.

Why Atomy Oral Health Kit?

Atomy’s oral health kit contains a toothbrush which prevents the formation of dental cavities and helps in removing bad breath while a toothbrush provides a refreshing feeling for teeth and gums after brushing. It is oxidised with gold.

According to the company statement,”Adverse oral healthcare can have a significant impact on the whole systematic health and quality of life. Starting oral hygiene from early childhood can prevent oral cancers, dental caries, and periodontal diseases that contribute to the major burden of oral diseases in India.”

Most of the Ukhrul FC Academy kids are said to be from economically backward classes. They are mostly sponsored by the local community and well-wishers. With great enthusiasm, 75 students and management staff participated in the oral health hygiene programme.

“It is indeed a great privilege for Ukhrul FC Academy and fortunate for the kids to participate in this oral hygiene campaign. The people of the Ukhrul district hardly receive any kind of government-related schemes/benefits due to various reasons. But today, we are extremely happy to see our poor kids participating and receiving the Atomy products,” said Khareithan Phungchamnao Kharei, Executive Director, Ukhrul FC.
